Day 847: Br8kIn’ Chalkboard Edition

I enjoyed “Br8kIn’ Chalkboard Edition” more for its art style than its innovation. It’s a competent Breakout-inspired game as far as the gameplay goes, but its art direction is amazing. With chalkboard-esque graphics (including a neat level where as you shoot clouds they gradually get knocked down to smaller clouds, and then eventually disappear), and video game homages aplenty, it’s a nice diversion for 80 Microsoft Points.

Here’s what the developer (HuskySoft LLC) has to say about the game:

“Br8kIn'; pronounced(Break In) is a remake of a classic console hit. This new version has been created using the HuskySoft engine with a progressive design. Gone are the simple blocks of yesterday, and your “paddle” is now as dynamic as the levels that you are using it in. Enjoy!”
