I’m purchasing an Xbox Live Indie Game every day, seeking out the quality titles that got lost in the shuffle and no longer appear in the top 50 downloads. Today is day #55, and today’s game is “Spanish 101”.
I’m a big fan of “German 101” which I reviewed way back on day 19, and of “Let’s Learn Japanese: Beginner” which I reviewed back on day 13, so I was pretty excited to see a sequel from the makers of German 101 that seeks to teach you spanish.
Like the previous title, it’s a flashcard-based educational title. It scores your performance on every word so that you can concentrate on the areas where you most need improvement. Other features like the ability to mark words you don’t want to see come up, the ability to make word lists (such as to only see words you haven’t seen, words you want to practice, etc.), and a 10 day progress chart are nice bonus features that really add to the value for a title that only costs 80 Microsoft Points. If you have any interest in learning/practicing spanish, this purchase is simply a no-brainer.
