Now here’s a game that you may absolutely love, or hate, based on presentation alone. “Bigger And/Or Better” simultaneously invokes ’50s communist hysteria, corporate downsizing, war-time era music, and much more, all laced with lots of music. Oh, you want to know about the gameplay too?
The game has you moving boxes onto switches, some easy, some fiendishly difficult. Presentation plays a role here too, with at least one level rapidly inverting black and white to make it difficult to navigate. Want to know how to play? Read the “Company Handbook” (ie. the game’s manual). Lose the game? You’re told that the company no longer needs your services. It all came together for me rather well, and was worth the 80 Microsoft Points.
Here’s what the developer (Adam D Smith) has to say about the game:
“Welcome to the working world. We’re gonna leverage your synergy and have you shove some boxes around for some reason. There’s free coffee in the break room.”
