There are things I like about “FastBall 2” compared to other, similar titles. It’s a timed-jumping, forced-scrolling game, but feels different to me than its kin. Unlike “The Impossible Game”, the timing of the jumps isn’t unforgiveably tight, for example. I also like the fact that the levels change direction back and forth periodically as you proceed through them, and that there is a fair bit of up and down to them at times. I additionally appreciate that it *is* level based, as opposed to some of its peers that are one punishingly long level.
There’s a charm and a lightness of feel to this game that its competition lacks, and it’s a nice 80 Microsoft Point diversion.
Here’s what the developer (Klik! Games) has to say about the game:
“A franchise played by more than 3 million people, now arrived at Xbox Live Indie Games… In FastBall, you control a rolling ball. In his way, there are many obstacles and his only ability is to jump. This is where he needs you, you’ll make him jump by pressing A or X.”
