Remember “Sketchbox 360” that I reviewed about a year ago? It had a mode called “Bump” that had you manoeuvring around a map trying to avoid enemies and spikes. “Septipus: Tentacle Apocalypse” is a full-game sequel to that mini game. It’s offering new levels with amped up presentation, but the flashlight/fog-of-war gameplay is relatively unchanged. It’s a love letter to the original, rather than a revamp of the concept, but if you enjoyed “Bump” it’s well worth your 80 Microsoft Points.
Here’s what the developer (Soulfire Software) has to say about the game:
“This 7 legged evil villain takes your most valuable possession, and you can’t let him get away with it. Save the town of Follicles and bring back what was stolen. You must chase the mighty Septipus through his treacherous lair and defeat him. You are Follicles’ only hope. Good luck brave hero.”
