If you crossed Marble Madness with a puzzle platformer, and redid the entire thing in 3D, you’d likely end up with something like “Rolling Hot Balls” (perhaps complete with it’s semi-official subtitle, “A Love Story”).
This isn’t “Blazin’ Balls Xtreme Edition”, this is a slower paced game where puzzle solving and precision jumps are the order of the day. There are 29 levels, and they’re timed which adds to the difficulty. Enemies are simplistically tongue-in-cheek, and for the most part that works. An easy recommendation for 80 Microsoft Points.
Here’s what the developer (Markus Axelsson) has to say about the game:
“Rolling Hot Balls: A Love Story is a catastrophically entertaining 3D-platformer in which the player must roll and jump his way across 29 heart-cramping levels, avoiding despicable enemies and other hazards in order to reach the goal!”
