Way back on Day 159 (hard to believe it was 531 days ago!) I reviewed and enjoyed “AvaGlide”. “AvaGlide 2” was a natural review for me then. Like with the first game, it’s a celebration of the beauty of flight. But this is no Microsoft Flight Simulator, it’s more like Sega’s NiGHTS into Dreams. And “AvaGlide 2” is most definitely worth the upgrade for the originals, or for those who liked the idea of the original but felt it needed a bit more content. Three new islands to hang-glide around is the biggest content boost, but four modes of play, split-screen play for multiple players, and skill level courses also give players lots to do. The visuals appear to have been boosted up a notch as well. 240 Microsoft Points is more than fair for this package, and the original can be picked up for 80 MSP for the stingy amongst us.
Here’s what the developer (HaikuInteractive) has to say about the game:
“The sequel to the great Avatar hang-gliding game brings three new islands, varied skill level courses and split-screen play. Learn the secrets of the master gliders by following their ghosts shared online. Race through Ring Rush, collect stars in Star Smash, hit your targets in Delivery Dash, or simply unwind and explore in Free Flight. Take to the skies TODAY!”
