Day 692: Bug Ball

Posted: 2012/10/01 in Indie Games

“Bug Ball” is a bit like volleyball merged with dodgeball, all done in a bug theme. The game has you jumping and spiking and returning the ball, and it’s a lot of fun for 80 Microsoft Points.

The first thing you’ll notice is how gorgeous the pre-rendered backgrounds are. There are a lot of bugs to choose from with different characteristics, and a lot of those gorgeous backdrops to play in front of. There are both online and offline multiplayer, as well as singleplayer that’s worth playing. The gameplay is easier to experience than describe, so I recommend a trial of this great looking and playing game.

Here’s what the developer (Edible Entertainment Pty Ltd) has to say about the game:

“Bug Ball is a competitive volley ball style game for up to 4 Players on a single Xbox 360 or over Xbox Live! Choose from a variety of adorable bugs, each with their own beautiful 3D arena. Jump, Spike, Dash and Super Spike your way to victory! Who’s the best Bug Ball player in the forest? It’s time to find out!”
