Back on the Atari Jaguar era I discovered roller coaster simulators. First as a component of Theme Park, and then in Dreamcast games that were Coaster-only, I found it was surprisingly fun to build coasters and then ride them (first-person style).
“Concept Coaster Craft” is an upgrade over Dreamcast-era games like “Coaster Works” in that it supports online sharing over Xbox Live, has much better graphics, better controls, and costs a whole heck of a lot less at 240 Microsoft Points. Better yet, the developer has provided strong post-release support with lots of new coaster components added, and support for 3D glasses, and that’s always nice to see.
Here’s what the developer (Squarebananas) has to say about the game:
“Design, build and ride your very own roller coasters. Choose between a wide variety of different carriages & environments and also paint the track as you like. Once you are happy with your roller coaster you can then share it with the world over Xbox Live. Roller coasters others have shared will also be available for you to download, ride and rate. Start constructing today!”
