Day 895: Lights Out

Posted: 2013/04/23 in Indie Games

“Lights Out” does something interesting, and does it well. You memorise the level, then have to navigate it with the “lights out”.

It’s a cool game mechanic and works well. Whether you count carefully, or fly by the seat of your pants, it makes the game different, innovative, and unique, and that’s always worth 80 Microsoft Points to me.

Here’s what the developer (LittleGreenBob) has to say about the game:

“Study the level. Turn off the light. Walk to the goal. LightsOut is a unique game where you must solve each level using sound, timing and memory. You have 99 seconds to pass the level which is ideal if you have a few minutes before dinner, or even “just one more level” before you go to bed. There are 10 exciting ways to play. Can you pass all 100 levels?”
