This is that rare edu-tainment title that doesn’t feel like you’re learning anything, it feels like it’s just throwing puzzles and challenges at you. If you’re getting any math practice in all the better, but that’s not the only reason to try “2D Math Panic”, as it’s a genuinely challenging and enjoyable game in its own right. I love the idea of having to dodge the wrong answers while both determining what the right answer is and how to get to it. Ultimately it’s mostly a score attack game, with collecting wrong answers costing you points, but there is a fail state too: miss the right answer and you lose a life. Power-ups can help you, and it’s a surprisingly enjoyable game for 80 Microsoft Points.
Here’s what the developer (OnekSoft Games) has to say about the game:
“Solve equations and catch the falling guys with the correct answers! Lose a life if you miss correct answers, lose points if you grab the wrong answer!”
