Here’s a game that doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but realises it doesn’t need to. “Zombie Compound” is a dual-stick shooter whose hooks are RPG-ish upgrading of both your character and your equipment between waves, and a co-op mode for up to four players where extra lives are pooled between all the players. It’s a fun, if short, experience for 80 Microsoft Points. And I’m OK with that, a small amount of money for a short experience with nice presentation is just right for busy people like me, or something to play while waiting for a friend to log on for that big team effort in that big budget $60 retail release.
Here’s what the developer (Smoodlez) has to say about the game:
“Arcade style twin stick zombie shooter. Survive wave after wave of zombie mobs, purchase and upgrade weapons/character in between in each wave! Local co op 1-4.”
