Day 1027: Insane Zombie Carnage

Coming to us from the developer of “Hop and Pop”, and looking something like “Bubble Bobble” as reimagined by the developer of “ZP2KX: Zombies & Pterodactyls!”, we have “Insane Zombie Carnage”. It’s generic name lets down a game that’s actually pretty fun.

It’s apparently inspired by some PC game I’d never heard of called Super Crate Box, but with better graphics, an easy mode for those who need it, and co-op modes. I’m not interested in that. What I am interested in a game that reminds me of classic side-view 2D arena combat games, but now with the addition of ridiculous numbers of enemies and a bevy of overpowered weapons and power-ups to take them out with. An easy recommendation for 80 Micros… I mean, $1.

Here’s what the developer (Geex) has to say about the game:

“Fight your way through endless hordes of the undead, shoot ’em, burn ’em, blast ’em, beat ’em. Kill ’em in dozen different ways. And, oh, yes, die hundreds of times in the process. Local Coop, Soft/Hard Challenge for Casual/HardCore Gamers, 26 awards, 12 weapons, Survival /Killing Mode and hours of edge-of-your-seat frantic action.”
