This may be mistaken for tower defence, and I can understand that confusion, but it’s as much or more “Hogan’s Alley” (i.e. a 2D shooter). “Boss” has you defending your empire by equipping buildings with defensive troops and equipment, but joining the fray yourself by targeting enemies. It’s all done in a mobster motif, and supports up to four players (offline).

Coming to us from the publisher of “Death Goat”, “Boss” has you shooting and upgrading your way through an impressively fun game. The difficulty ramps up well, and all in all it’s well worth a dollar.
