With 100 levels, and design that reminds me a little of the “Bonk’s” games on TurboGrafx-16 (AKA “PC Kid” on the PC Engine), “Monkey Nuts” is an enjoyable platformer with clean and crisp graphics that is designed for the whole family to play. That means less impaling yourself on spikes, and more falling to you death when you misjudge a jump, the former being seen as too edgy, and the latter an accepted video game trope for generations. Go figure. But for a dollar, it’s fun, especially if you’re looking for something you won’t beat in half an hour.
Here’s what the developer (hdtgames) has to say about the game:
“Monkey has lost his nuts! Help monkey get his nuts back – dodge hazards, defeat enemies and beat the clock through 100 levels.”
