Day 1134: Demon Dash

Posted: 2013/12/18 in Indie Games

Well… here’s one that caught me off guard. “Demon Dash” is a game that you download for the absurdity. You might find that you get enough out of the free trial and don’t go further, but there’s enough craziness that it’s worth doing anyway.

The game is a forced runner, a genre that stretches at least back to “B.C.’s Quest for Tires” in the early ’80s (still my all-time favourite forced runner, BTW) that has you shooting and dodging demons, flaming cars crashing down from above, and other insanity. I couldn’t help but chuckle from the first time I saw it, and it throws you *right* into it when you hit the start button. At least worth a trial, and a dollar if you decide you might like to play it repeatedly.

Here’s what the developer (darkgatestudios) has to say about the game:

“Hell has taken over earth. Now you are taking the fight to them as you run through the ruined city and take down the spawns of hell. But watch out it’s dangerous in the streets and the demons are not the only thing to worry about.”
