Day 1135: Squeebels

Coming to us from the publisher of “Mystic Cards” and “DoubleVision” comes something far more ambitious than those titles.

“Squeebels” is nothing short of an evolution simulator. The game has you creating the titular “squeebels”, providing them food, breeding them, and seeing how they turn out. You can put up walls to control what food they can eat and who they can breed with, which lets you control their evolution. It’s a rare 80 Microsoft Point… there I go being old school again… title that has a lot of meat on its bones. More interesting than action packed, but that’s right up my alley.

Here’s what the developer (Aztecgames) has to say about the game:

“You tend to a farm of squeebels. Using unique A.I. to grow and prosper. They will seek out food sources, friends and mates, and pass on their genetics to their children. Manipulate the way they turn out by growing different plant species for them to eat or separate them out for even more control , what you choose to do is entirely up to you! The possibilities are virtually endless.”
