Day 1154: Avatar Survival Games

As always, I’m not the doing the voice-over in the video, it’s just a random Youtube video that seemed to capture the game well.

“Avatar Survival Games” is an unabashed attempt to tie-into the popularity of “The Hunger Games”, but it does such a good job that it’s hard to complain. You start each match by deciding whether to race towards weapons or to race for better cover. It’s essentially hide-and-go-seek with weapons, and for a dollar and with good production values it’s a good buy.

The developer has pledged post-release support for more content, too, and it comes from “Raoghard” which has a good reputation with releases like “Along Came A Spider” (reviewed way back on Day 200) plus more recent games like “Toy Stunt Bike”, “Toy Stunt Bike 2”, “Vampire Slayer FPS”, “Bulkhead”, “Mini Wizards”, “Saturn 9”. So there’s reason to expect good support going forward.

Here’s what the publisher (Raoghard) has to say about the game:

“Battle against other players in the multiplayer online Survival Games! Scramble to grab weapons and supplies then fight for survival to become the victor!”
