Originally releasing for $2.99, “Insecticide” has dropped to $1 making it’s co-op platforming more accessible. And it’s pretty darn good!
The game does have solo play, but its most distinguishing feature is it’s 2-4 player co-op. Both in difficulty level and in level design, it’s meant to be accessible to the entire family so that they can play together. A neat idea, and executed well. Unusual for a platformer, the levels are actually procedurally generated meaning no two play throughs have identical levels.
It’s neither really easy nor crazy hard (though watch the precipitous drops), which is just the way I like platformers, and worth a download for fans of the genre.
Here’s what the publisher (MBLEH) has to say about the game:
“Run, jump & wall kick your way through a procedurally generated world infested with dangerous insects. Chaotic platformer action. Great fun with a friend or two or three.”
