Coming to us from to us from the publisher of “Aliens vs Romans”, “Toy Plane”, and “End Of Days: Infected vs Mercs”, comes a $1 riff on DayZ (which I stubbornly pronounce “day-zed”, in case anyone cares). “ApocZ”.
Like its inspiration, it’s a shooter where you have a healthy competition with the living to defend yourself against the dead. You have to out-race other humans to the best equipment in the up-to-16 player online matches, a bit like the beginning of a Hunger Games. It’s in your best interests to coordinate your defence, though the degree to which this will happen depends on who you end up with of course. Or, if you prefer, there is solo play here as well. Either way you’re fighting through first-person shooting (and axe-swinging), and third-person vehicle driving, and it’s insanely good value for a dollar.
